Attention Marching Band Parents – We hope that this finds you well and gearing up for the start of another incredible marching season at WBHS. We will once again be offering a Leadership Camp opportunity at Camp Copneconic. Considering the addition of squad leaders to our leadership squad, this year we will also be allowing non-senior leaders to attend the camp day. Please see below for details for the retreat!
2011 Leadership Day at Camp Copneconic
Who should attend: All LEADERS of the WB Marching Band for the 2011 season, as well as parent chaperones (first come, first serve… Reserve your spot quickly parents!)
When: Sunday, July 31, 9:00 am – roughly 6:30pm Students and parents must provide their own transportation!
What we will do: All leaders will participate in a leadership training session, as well as a zip line course and a high ropes course!
Where: YMCA Camp Copneconic, 10407 North Fenton Road, Fenton, MI 48430 (810) 629-9622
Cost: $30 for all leaders, $20 for all parent chaperones that do not wish to participate in zip line and high ropes ($30 if you do!)
Why you should go to the Leadership Camp: Well, where to begin? Students and parents that go to the leadership day will be exposed to one of the finest leadership sessions that we can be a part of, a session that includes excellent team-building activities in an incredibly positive environment. Students are fed and have time to reflect with the directors on the upcoming season, and are also able to zipline over a creek! My personal favorite part of the day was the high ropes course, which was a truly daring adventure. If you were to ask any of the parent chaperones or graduated students that went last year, I believe that they would agree that this is an opportunity that you do not want to miss!
