THANK YOU

* Dear West Bloomfield Band Family –

We did it once again… another amazing winter show is in the history books! The feedback I heard was very positive – MCGC, the judges and group directors were happy with how the show was run.

I want to give a special and heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible Alumni parents and former students who came through in our hour of need!  I was so happy to see and spend a few minutes with many of you.

And of course, thank you to ALL of our AMAZING parents, students and supporters who took the time to volunteer at our show. I wish there was enough space and time to thank each and every one of you individually, for making all of our guests feel welcome in our school.

We also owe a debt of gratitude to the teachers, administrators and custodial staff, who kindly lent us their spaces and worked closely with us to prepare WBHS for this event.  This is a true team effort!

Christine Karow

Winter Invitational Chair

* I’d like to thank show chair Christine Karow for all her hard work the past two months. Again, she helped show why West Bloomfield has such a fabulous reputation as a show host. Her passion and energy keep everybody inspired and keep us all moving forward for the sake of our band program and the sake of our students. I cannot say thank you enough to show how appreciative we are of her leadership on show days.

WINTER PERCUSSION UPDATE

Hello everyone!

Awesome showing this weekend at Chippewa Valley!  Shout out to all the parents who helped us with uniforms, carries, and props the past two weeks.  Also shout out to everyone who went back to WB to finish off a long day working at our home show!

I was recently notified that there will be a volleyball tournament at Abbott on Thursday that could potentially last up to 8 pm which would wipe out our gym time leading up to our big regional this coming weekend.  Due to this fact we have been working quickly with the Abbott administration to reschedule our gym time for Wednesday night.  We are planning to rehearse with the following schedule this week:

Tuesday: 4:30 (unload) to 8:30

Wednesday: 5 to 8:30

Thursday: 5 to 7 then load for Kentucky

Thank you again for your continued flexibility.  It is very important to the success of our ensembles!

Thank you,

Chris
