FEED THE BAND – STATE FINALS
Information Coming Soon!
We will be emailing you a sign-up very soon regarding Saturday’s Feed the Band. We will feed the band before State Finals. The information will be sent to you via email as well as Facebook.
Thank you for helping with our weekly events! It is greatly appreciated!
STATE FINALS PAPER PLATE SIGNS
Let’s COVER the walls of the band room!
Marching band parents have a tradition of creating paper plate signs for the band members, wishing them good luck and encouraging them as they head to the State Finals.
So we’re asking you to make a paper plate for your student/musician and hang it on the band room walls starting Oct. 31. Bring strong tape since the walls are cinder block.
Parents, friends and family members also are encouraged to decorate the band room with fun and inspirational “Paper Plate Signs” for the band and staff as a whole. Paper plates can be as simple or fancy as you want.
The marching band will continue to support our team at home games. There is another home playoff game this Friday, November 2nd. We will keep our usual game day schedule, except STUDENTS CAN LEAVE THE GAME AFTER THEY PERFORM AT HALFTIME.
Please plan on $5 for pizza before the game. We will need a few parents to help pass out the pizza. Please contact Bree to help at firstname.lastname@example.org.
MARCHING BAND BANQUET
RSVP by this Saturday, November 3rd
Please RSVP by the day of State Finals which is this Saturday, November 3, 2018. We are not able to extend this deadline. We will not acceptpayment at the door. Please note that we have kept the price at$25 per person, including the student. If you are having concerns about payment, please contact our treasurer, Raluca, at email@example.com.
In order to defray increasing costs perhaps you will consider making a donation of any amount; $10, $25, $100 or whatever. Donors will be honored at the Banquet and in the Banquet program.
Please place your RSVP card in an envelope and place it in the band mailbox in the band room. Feel free to contact Renee Floer with any questions – text or call 248-464-0084 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
BBAWB NOVEMBER PARENT MEETING
Please join us at our monthly parent meeting on Tuesday, November 6th at 7pm in the high school I-Center. We will be discussing the SCRIPS program.
Great Lakes Scrip is an easy, fast way to put money in your student’s account! Simply purchase store gift cards for everyday purchases such as gas, eating out, travel, clothing and many others, or to give as gifts for any occasion. The merchants give a percentage of the gift card purchase to the band which will then be deposited into your student’s points account. 40% of the money raised by purchasing SCRIP cards goes towards your student points account and 60% earns money for West Bloomfield Bands.
Join us at our November meeting to find out more!
JET’S PIZZA NIGHT
Don’t Cook on November 7th!
Order from Jet’s Pizza at Orchard Lake and Maple between 11am and 10pm on November 7th! Bring in the attached flyer to help raise money for the band! Spread the word!

NEW SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
Keep selling those T-shirt/program ads for the Winter Season, too. Every little bit helps the program.
There are seven levels of participation ranging from $50-$2,500+ — Piano, Crescendo, Mezzo-piano, Mezzo-forte, Forte, Fortissimo and Fortississimo — with different incentives.
Incentives for the student remain the same — a 50-50 split between the student and band — except for the $2,000-$2,500+ levels. Any sponsorship package sold at the $2,000-and-above level will be capped at $750 for the student with the remainder going into the general band fundraising coffer.
For individuals wanting to place ads in our programs only, please refer to last year’s donation amounts.
