Hello West Bloomfield Band families! Below is a belated e-newsletter for this week…
West Bloomfield Percussion is in Dayton, Ohio to compete in the WGI World Championships and have advanced to semi-final competition! Let’s wish our State Champions the best of luck!!
Marching Band and Color Guard Update: As of today, we have 47 students registered for marching band! We are excited to welcome 16 brand new students! In order to grow the band in the years going forward, we need more new students to join this award-winning program, which boasts the State Champion percussion section and Top 5 Color Guard! Please encourage your friends to join this amazing program!
There is still time to register your student and get a $50 discount! The deadline for early registration has been extended to April 30! Parents can register their student(s) online from anywhere there is internet access, by clicking here. It only takes a few minutes! More news and information can be found on the marching band page on the WB Bands website: wbbands.info/join-us. Please also mark your calendar for these dates… more specific information on Experience Night will be available as the event draw closer.
- Tuesday April 25, 2017: 7:00 p.m., iCenter at WBHS. Marching Band Show Reveal – learn the show theme for 2017, meet the drum major(s) and section leaders, learn who earned the John Boruta Alumni Scholarship and see a sample of the new uniform!

In case you missed the Parent Meeting on April 11, you can find the PowerPoint presentation here. You can accumulate points in your student’s account to help pay for marching band and other band-related expenses by selling Show Shirt and Program Business Ads (download the form here), Personal Ads and Semi Trailer Ads (more information here). All of our ad sales for marching band have a 50/50 split, meaning half of the money you raise is converted to points for your student account, and the other half goes into WB Bands’ general fund.

You can find the descriptions of each role here. If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the Board of Directors of the BBAWB, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
