Dear Band, Color Guard and Percussion Members and Families,

You are cordially invited to see their final show before States at our Guard and Percussion ensembles’ Friends and Family Show on Thursday March 31 at 7:45pm in the Abbott Middle School gymnasium. more information

Early Registration for 2016 Marching Band and Color Guard is OPEN!
See the attached flyer for info about the program, or email Mr. Mielens ( with questions. Band directors have registration packets with full details on rates and payment schedules. Families who register by April 11 (ahead of Reveal Night April 12) will receive $50 OFF their students’ Marching Band fee.

The month isn’t over yet. So far in the month of March, we have purchased scrip of $3185, with a scrip rebate of $140.55. If we made this level every month, there would be $1,686.60 in total rebates for the year allocated between the student accounts and the band fund. With higher participation it could be even more! For many, this is the easiest fundraiser we offer with the highest payout for the lowest effort. Every purchase brings a rebate, and 60% goes to the to student’s points account, while 40% goes toward instruments, sectional instruction, music program scholarships, equipment purchase, and other initiatives supported by the Band Boosters. Go to and order SCRIP (gift cards).  If you have any questions about scrip purchases, why and how it benefits the band and your student account, and why the ‘small contributions’ that come from them are worth the effort please contact Marci Grossman. Of course, if you don’t want to buy scrip, you can always just make a donation to the band. The benefits of being a 501(c)3: A donation is tax deductible.

Silent Auction Donations

Click Here to access the Sign Up Genius with the list of the different theme baskets we will be working on. There are items listed under each theme that we would like for the baskets. If you have a great item that would go along with the theme, but don’t see it listed, please add it in the “Other” slot.

Also, if you have a theme basket you want to build and donate, at the very bottom is a space that you can enter your theme basket. All donations are due NO LATER than May 3, 2016 at the parent meeting. We will be having a basket-building day, so look for that sign-up as well.
