Dear Band, Color Guard and Percussion Members and Families,
Our Winter ensembles are in full swing! Winter Guard, West Bloomfield Percussion, and WBHS Jazz Band have held auditions. Concert Bands are preparing for the December 10 All-City Winter Concert. Individual musicians are selecting their pieces for Solo and Ensemble. Boosters continue to support these endeavors and work toward the long-term goals of instrument repair and replacement, concert and Marching uniform replacement, many equipment needs, and scholarships for extracurricular ensembles. I hope you will come to the Band Parents meeting at West Bloomfield High School on Tuesday evening to learn more.
Go Lakers! And Eagles! And Vikings!
WBHS Director of Bands

Band Parents Meeting
Yes, Marching Band is over. But there is so much still going on! Please plan to attend the Parents meeting on Tuesday December 1 at 7pm in the WBHS Band Room. The agenda is attached for your review.
MAJOR FUNDRAISER – RAFFLE
The West Bloomfield Bands raffle is on! This is a huge fundraiser that will benefit all of the West Bloomfield School District bands. Parents, if you have not seen any tickets, ASK YOUR CHILD. Each student is responsible for selling at least five $5 tickets. The prize is $1,000! (If fewer than 400 tickets are sold, the prize reverts to a 50/50). Tickets are to be sold by December 8. The drawing will take place on Dec. 10, 2015 at the WB All-City Winter Concert in the auditorium. Participants need not be present to win. When you have finished selling your tickets, please return the stubs (the part of the ticket with the purchaser’s name and phone number) and the money (checks can be made to BBAWB) to the Band Director’s Mailbox or mail in the envelope provided to Raffle Coordinator Christine Long. Please do not throw out or destroy any raffle tickets. They are all numbered and assigned to each student and we need to account for every ticket. If you need more tickets, please contact Christine Long at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Yankee Candle Fundraiser
Online shopping is still available, and open through the end of the year!
Our seller # is 990077510
Online orders are sent directly to the purchaser, usually in about a week. It’s a great option! This was a popular and productive fundraiser last year, we hope for even better responses in 2015. A parent volunteer is needed to assist fundraising coordinator Sarah Boyle. Interested? Any other questions? Email Sarah Boyle.
WB Percussion Bottle Drive
To follow up on their commanding win in the fall Bottle Drive, West Bloomfield Percussion is holding a bottle drive following the Thanksgiving weekend. Ensemble members will be collecting bottles next weekend and turning in the return slips to the Band Boosters mailbox in the Band Room or to director Chris Vilag. Anyone wishing to support WB Percussion can also donate bottles/cans or bottle return slips.
CONCERT BAND UNIFORM CLEANING FEE
Thank you so much to those students who have paid their $5 uniform cleaning fee. We still have several of you who have not paid. Please submit $5 for cleaning fee and $5 if you purchased a bow tie. Cash or check made out to BBAWB is accepted. Give your payment to your band director or place in the mailbox in the high school band room.
MARCHING BAND UNIFORMS
Marching Band Uniforms went home with band members upon return from Indianapolis. Please launder the uniforms (CLICK HERE for cleaning instructions) and hang in the garment bag. Put gauntlets, gloves and Dinkles in the bag for next year. All uniform pieces will be checked in and you will be contacted to pay for any lost pieces that require replacement. Contact Christine Long with any questions.
