A few Updates:
We are running a fundraiser through Snap-raise. Two weeks are already gone. We have only 2 more weeks to go. Keep sending the emails and reminder to your family and friends about this fundraising. This fundraiser involves emailing potential donors and asking for donations. The funds from this are going towards uniforms and percussion equipment. As always, we cannot force families to participate. However, we are asking for high levels of participation. If you received an email or text from your child today, it was for this fundraiser. Students who obtain certain levels of donations can earn prizes such as Nike t-shirts, athletic gear, and backpacks.

Questions can be directed to me regarding this fundraiser at

Chad Mielens, Director of Bands,WBHS.

Next week on 9/22, we are having marching band photos taken. These are individual and group photos. I have attached a copy of the order form for you to LOOK over. Hopefully the forms will be handed out either Saturday or Tuesday after practice. Please know, EVERYONE will get an individual photo taken even if you do NOT purchase any prints. We also have a group photo done to use in programs and other things throughout the year. EVERYONE is in uniform for these pictures. Please have your forms and payment on the day of pictures. You can also be able to order photos off their website too. Checks are made out to Visual Sports Network
Any questions, please contact: Anne Marie Collier-Miller

Also, we have the big returnable containers placed around the school; So you can start bringing your returnable to band or drop it off in this containers any time. 100% benefit goes to the band. Thank you!

Homecoming Tailgate

It is time for the annual Homecoming Tailgate! We provide for the 7th and 8th grade band students who march in the parade with the Marching Band, the Marching Band, family, friends, and Alumni. Everything needs to be set up by 5pm, so everyone can sneak away to watch the parade!

If you are also volunteering, please arrive at 4pm, to help with the set up. That should give you enough time to set up and still get to the parade to see your children!

If you are bringing a hot dish, please try to have it in a crockpot, but know that there is no way to keep things plugged in. If you do not want to bring a crockpot, have the dish in an aluminum pan. There will be chafing racks and sterns available. Please provide your own utensils, which will then leave with you when everything is over. There will be utensils available if you forget.

The marching band and 7th/8th grade students will march into Laker Stadium with the band.
PARENTS:  you are welcome to come sit in the bleachers next to the band.
The 7th & 8th grade students will participate in the pre-game festivities on the field and will sit with the band in the stands and play pep songs.
Tag Day – Hazardous Waste Day
When: Sat, September 24, 8:30am – 2:00pm
