I am in charge of organizing volunteers for our invitationals. Invitationals are events where we host other schools to come to our high school to compete. We host invitationals to raise money for the entire bands program.
On Saturday, February 1st, less than four weeks from now, we will be hosting the largest invitational we have ever had at West Bloomfield High School. MCGC (Michigan Color Guard Circuit) estimates that we will have 50 groups (Winter Guard and Winter Drumline). Think about that. Our fall invitational was only 7 bands including us. This will be a huge undertaking. In the past, we have earned over $10,000 from our largest invitational.
In order to do this, we will need a tremendous amount of volunteers to help us that day.
If you can only work a few hours, I will take it! I, along with many many others will be there from 7am until perhaps midnight.
Since MCGC allows students to be band guides, I will need 40-50 students to be band guides. I believe that helping us out qualifies for National Honor Society volunteer hours, but please double check with NHS about this.
Please, please, please contact me right now at email@example.com if you are able to help us.
Thank you so much!
